I have two recipes on here for jalapeño poppers – this is the 2nd one. I decided to post this based on the feedback from instagram. They are very similar to my other recipe though – just some minor changes. All I did was mix 1 cup cream cheese with 1 tsp chili powder and tsp cumin, salt/pepper – then topped it off with queso cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and cilantro.
Ingredients:
- 5 Jalapeno Peppers – Halved, with seeds scooped out
- 1 Cup Cream Cheese
- 1 TBS Chili Powder
- 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 Queso Cheese – Shredded
- 1 TBS Cilantro – Chopped
Directions:
- Pre-heat oven 400 degrees
- Mix cream cheese, chili powder, cumin, salt/pepper in a mixing bowl
- Scoop cream cheese mixture into each halved jalapeno
- Arrange on baking sheet lined with parchment pepper (for easy clean up)
- Top each pepper with queso and then panko
- Put in oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden/melted
- Top with cilantro, serve
