Jalapeno Poppers

I’ve always had fried jalapeño poppers…but I don’t have a fryer, and putting tons of oil in a pan is too much clean-up and not as healthy. These are baked, and are just as tasty. Throw whatever you want in the cream cheese mixture whether it’s paprika, cumin, chili powder…whatever spice you like will work. I broiled these at the end to give the breadcrumbs some crisp on top as well.



  • 10 Jalapeno Peppers – Halved, with seeds scooped out
  • 1 Cup cream cheese
  • 1 TBS Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBS Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 Half Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 TBS Finely Chopped Chives
  • 1 TSP Paprika (Optional)


  1. Pre-heat oven 400 degrees
  2. Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, chili powder, salt/pepper in a mixing bowl
  3. Scoop cream cheese mixture into each halved jalapeno
  4. Arrange on baking sheet lined with parchment pepper (for easy clean up)
  5. Top each pepper with cheddar cheese then panko
  6. Add paprika for color and more taste
  7. Put in oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden/melted
  8. Top with chives, serve
